Welcome to the Society of Fellowships

The Society of Fellowships (SOF) operates as a tax-exempt educational charity, dedicated to the study of fellowships in Washington, DC. And from that program of study, SOF hopes to learn and share lessons about the nature and impact of fellowships: the sources of their success, the challenges they face, and the role models that they offer, both to the nation and to the world. SOF looks forward to engaging in, even leading, a dialogue in Washington, DC, and around the nation, about the role and value of non-partisan fellowships. Indeed, SOF further looks forward to joining the national conversation on increasing civic involvement, enhancing public service, and improving national leadership.
